WEEK 2 - 3: Let's sort this out!

Week two got off to a bit of a wet start but I guess that's all part of the London experience!
Saturday morning I met some new friends in Leceister square, but not before some exploring.

So many broadway shows calling my name!

The rain stopped me from going too far, thank goodness for my trusty umbrella - thanks to Richard and Nick!

I spent Sunday hoping about the blue part of the Monopoly board.

A beautiful house in Park Lane above.

On route to Buckingham Palace. Do you need to see pictures of that?

Quick selfie stop amongst the trees in Queens Park.

Stumbled upon the Ritz whilst making my way to the Tube and all I could think of was Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts strolling around in the scenes of Notting Hill. A beautiful hotel.

Monday morning, it's time for my first job interview. Starting things off right with the lovely crew at ASOS. I'm devastated I didn't take any photo's of their amazing offices, let's put it down to me being a little preocupied with job interview nerves.

Still waiting on a decision, but regardless I'm grateful to be given the opportunity to interview with a brand as prestigious as ASOS.

Tuesday through Wednesday requires no photo evidence as I spend hours upon hours applying for Jobs and places to live.

Thursday I start my first temping role, a two day reception cover. But more importantly it's the day I secured a short term place to live!!! Bethnal Green will be my place of residence as of the 1st of May.

It's nothing much, but just wait until I have my way with it!

Victoria Embankment Park had some beautiful garens and monuments, I spent Sunday morning wandering around amongst them.

Next thing you know its Monday again and I'm off to another recruitment interview. This one was super draining, last over 2 hours and including some intense computer testing. But on the plus side they did have some pretty awesome wallpaper in their meeting rooms.

Tuesday temping alongside the River Thames. Tough gig.

Hope you enjoyed my week in photo's!! I'll be back next week with more fun-filled adventures. On the horizon; Anzac day and the London Marathon. Stay tuned! xx

WEEK 1: Hello London!!

After months of planning the day is finally here, move to London!!
A drink at the terminal to numb the nerves and up up and away!

Well I made it, I'm here. After what seemed like hours waiting for my luggage to appear on the carousel and finding my prearranged driver I made it Brooke's London home.

While Brooke headed off to work, I washed off that horrible aeroplane smell and had some much needed shut eye in the home that tomorrow I'd be refreshed and ready to explore the city.

Day 2 called for a yummy brunch at Granger and Co in the picturesque Notting Hill, I line out the front suggested I was going to be in for a treat.

Need I say more?

After breakfast we set out to find that house with the blue door, from an all time favourite movie - Notting Hill.

The photo's slowed down over the coming days while I concentrated on getting around without getting lost or looking like a dumb tourist.

On Monday I set out for Oxford Circus to see what all the fuss is about. So many shops, and so little budget I window shopped for as long as my feet could hold out. 100's of mental notes made at the likes of Topshop, Zara, MANGO and then some.

Tuesday marks the Easter long weekend being over and time for me to start the job and apartment hunt, to get me through I set out for a decent coffee - I found some at The Wet Fish in West Hampstead.

In the afternoon I learnt the art of London's public transportation apps to get me to Wimbledon for a bank meeting. I made it there on time - well done me!!!

Wednesday and it's bye bye tourist life and hello job applicant, a meeting near London Bridge to register as and 'Office Angel' temp.

The offices were so close to London Bridge.

For lunch, I discovered the delights of Marks & Spencer - £3 goodness!

Thursday - Another morning meeting in artsy Shoreditch. After the meeting, exploring the area I spotted a little slice of heaven - aka Allpress!!!

A couple of hours job/flat hunting and a delicious coffee later, it was out in to the London sun for more exploring.

The streets of Shoreditch are quirky and full of beauty, with the added benefit of sunshine I never wanted to leave.

And that's week 1! I'll try to get better on the picture taking and attempt to stay up-to-date with posting.  Catch ya next week!
