WEEK 10-11: City Life

Alright alright alright!! I know it's been over a week since my last post, an update is well over due. It's safe to say London is keeping me busy, so busy that I keep forgetting to take snaps of what it is I'm doing. So apologies in advance for the lack of interesting pictures.

Ever since arriving in London I've been desperate to get my hair cut, although it really is an expense I could like without. To save money I offered my mane up to a trainee stylist. Risky I know, but a girls gotta do what girls gotta do to keep a healthy head of hair AND pay the bills.

I'll admit I was a little nervous but I was pretty happy with the result, since washing I've found a few stray bits here and there that were longer than others, but no big deal.

Friday after work last week I got the opportunity to go to Sunset Safari at the London Zoo. This is an event they run throughout summer, the zoo stays open latter so the public can come and see the animals at night. They also have a variety of food markets, and extra entertainment on offer.

As I was juggling a drink and all of my work belongings it was difficult to take photos, I got a few in the butterfly enclose and at the Penguin show. But all in all a fun and interesting night out.

With such beautiful weather on Sunday I was determined to be outside to enjoy it, I think I may have even got a little burnt! Myself and Steph went to Primrose Hill along with what seemed like half of London to have a picnic in the sunshine.

The next week flew by in a flurry of work, gym, dinners and flat viewings (FYI I'm moving again soon). Before I knew it the weekend was upon me again. Saturday was spent cruising along the Thames as I tagged along to a 30th birthday party on a boat, how could I say no?

Us girls were too busy gossiping, the boat ride was over before we had a chance to take any photos. Or maybe the photo's were all horrible and I don't want to share them ;) I guess you're just gonna have to trust me on this one!

The rest of the weekend was filled with fairly low-key boring activities; washing, ironing, cleaning... I'll spare you the details.

Let's tie things off with some exciting news, just today I accepted a new job! As of Monday I'll be working as receptionist for Victoria Beckham. A very quick turn around from interview through to hiring (all within the space of a few hours) but a welcome surprise. My time at Giorgio Armani has very quickly come to an end due to this however I now have the job security of a permanent position, plus a myriad of job benefits.. Here's to me and Posh becoming the best of friends, finally all those years of being a Spice Girls fan have paid off.

I'll be sure to share with you all the details following my first week. Girl Power!
